The Journey Begins

This started out as the concept for my Journey Begins entry, but due to a serious lack of time, it never got much further then that. I think concept is the key to good cg, so I was happy to have put some attention into that at last. I ended up keeping this and now I've put it in my gallery.

Personal experience brought forth this bleak image. I hope it shows some of the feeling I intended to put in this.

Quite old and badly modeled, but at least now I have a video in my gallery, I'm working on a new reel, hope to have it finished soon.

Tornado

Hey,
This is one of my first matte paintings, tried one or two before for fun. I wanted to do a decent rendering of a particle system (the tornado) done in Maya, brought this in Photoshop and put some sky and buildings on there. After a couple of hours painting this was the result... I have little experience in matte painting and I am not so good drawing the eye to a certain point. Composition might need some improvemnent as well.
